Gaylord Texan

We decided to get out of the house this weekend so we didn't have to pack up everything and leave any time somebody wanted to come check out the house.

We went to Grapevine, Texas and the kids had a great time at the Aquarium and at the Gaylord Texan. The hotel had a little water park that is open during the summer - and the kids loved the trains and fountains and everything else in the hotel too! Kyle is a nut in the pool. Justin is doing much better and enjoyed it- but Kyle is seriously crazy around water. I can't wait to get him in some swim lessons!

OMAHA!

It's been a long time since posting - and we've had a LOT going on in that time frame! I interviewed for a job at a law firm in Omaha at the beginning of July and accepted that job at the end of July! We will be relocating to Omaha as of September 15th!

I have always kept my eyes open for midwest law firm jobs and this job popped up and things moved pretty quickly. We're in the midst of listing our house, packing, and getting our lives in order to move into a rental home there. We had a stager come in last Friday and our house looks like - well - it looks like we don't live there! They did a really nice job with it. We get photographs taken tomorrow and then it will hit the market soon. I know I'll miss this little house. Looking around at homes for sale in Omaha really made me appreciate what a nice little house it is.

Justin knows about the move and is telling everyone about it. It's fun to listen to him talk about it. I know he doesn't fully comprehend it - but he sounds excited about it. I know I'm excited. Midwest has been calling my name for awhile- I finally listened..

Now we just have to find Dave a job in Omaha..

Sick Day!

Justin got sent home with a fever on Monday- which meant no school on Tuesday. Since he was fine Tuesday morning he came to work with me! It was fun having him here. He really cracks me up with the things he talks about. He played, watched videos, went to lunch with me, watched all the traffic out the window and was really great while I was on the phone half the day.

He's such a sweet kiddo.

Tractor Store! And weekend adventures..

We had a low-key 4th of July. We went to the little parade in our neighborhood (not that impressive) and Justin and I went to watch fireworks with one of his little friends - he enjoyed them.

On Friday he asked me "Can we go to the tractor store tomorrow?" - so we did! The boys had a blast running around and playing - and Justin was such a good listener the whole time- and patient while I chased Kyle in circles.

We've been playing in the water most days that we're around and they've been enjoying that too. Not much else to report here!

Iowa Trip

Justin spent a week in Iowa with Grandma and Grandpa by himself and then we all came up to spend some time in the tall corn state. Lots of tractor and gator time for both boys. Some fun cousin time, two birthday parties, a family reunion and lots of love! Thanks to Grandma and Aunt Tara for most of the pictures!
