The month of June passed by with only ONE blog post from me? Is that possible? To say we have had a busy June is an understatement. Our handyman has been spending some time at the house- he re-did our storage room and we now have some awesome shelving to help keep us organized. While he was working on that our garage and dining room have been full of all of stuff that had collected in the storage area - which ended up being unfortunate as when it decided to HAIL buckets of golf balls on us -we had nowhere to stash a car.
Windshields on both cars needed replaced..we've had insurance people out to check out the damage on the bodies of the car..we need to have somebody out to look at the roof. We had the solar tube fixed already - but may need to have the roof replaced. Dave was supposed to be working up the road at two different golf tournaments that had to be relocated cause the golf course was a mess...leading to him having to be gone more that expected. That hail storm was quite disruptive!
We had furniture delivered for Justin's future big-boy room- but we ordered the wrong size bed frame - so we get to do that all over again - which may have led to tears on my part in the midst of all of this chaos. We've moved the "office" furtniture to the dining room- and we bought a couch for the front room. We now have some IKEA furniture that we need to post on Craigslist so we can finish rearranging - and then we're going to solicit some help on accessories and paint colors for the front room/dining area.
I've been going to physical theraphy for my ankle a couple times a week..and don't forget those baby doctor appointments...Oh yeah..Justin is going to have a little brother..
Oh and I received a jury duty summons for July 9 - lucky me.
Maybe I'll update this post with some photos at some point...but we've been without internet (handyman cut a wire when he moved the internet from one room to another) and I haven't put any photos on the computer lately. Hope your lives have been less chaotic than ours lately! I'm looking forward to July and a trip to the midwest!

Happy Father's Day!

It sure is quiet around here..
Justin had a great weekend with Lily. Thank you Grandma for bringing her down! He took at least a 3 hour nap when she left yesterday. They ran in circles the whole weekend. It sure is quiet here now that she's gone!
We went to a pool party on Saturday at Apryl and Adam's house. Lily made friends with Molly - I think she was happy to have somebody older than 2 to hang out with for a bit. She was in the pool for five hours. That girl would be in water all day if you let her.
Sunday we hosted a BBQ and made it Lily's Texas Birthday.
Otherwise we stuck close to home - my booted foot wasn't up for much more than the zoo trip on Friday.
After Justin woke up from his nap yesterday - he asked for Lily. And this morning after he went in to tell Daddy good morning- he asked for her again. Think he enjoyed chasing her in circles all weekend!

Lily is here!
Justin is loving having Lily here (Grandma too - but he doesn't follow her around and yell her name constantly). We went to the zoo today and played in the water in the back yard -and Justin spent lots of time chasing Lily around the house.

Horrible, horrible haircuts..
Dave thought he should give Justin a haircut at home...Justin FREAKED out of course. I wonder when he'll get over this haircut thing. It was about 15 minutes of screaming. I'm the mean mommy who snagged a couple of photos and some video while he was holding on to me for dear life.

It almost looks like he's not screaming in this one..dont' worry- he was. |

Pool Party
Meredith came over with Connor and Declan and Maxine brought Lucy over for a mini pool-party. The kids sorta play with each other - will be fun when they are just a bit older.
November 2012
I can only assume this is how Justin feels about sharing Mommy come November 2012.
This was how he was the majority of the day today- upset about a million things. I think adding Peanut Prinz to the family (via scheduled c-section on November 2) will be quite a reality check to my little momma's boy. Thankfully he was an angel Saturday so we had one good day this weekend- :)

Philly!
We had a great trip to Philly to visit everyone. It was Justin's first flight with his own seat- and he was great! He stayed in his seat the whole time and read, played, colored, and of course ATE on the way out. When we got to Philly we hopped in the rental car and drove an hour or so to Hanna's birthday party.
Justin LOVED seeing everyone. He was handing out hugs left and right and kept saying everyone's names over and over. He loved singing happy birthday to Hanna- and is STILL singing it now that we're home. You'll see from the previous post he was quite fond of Hanna. He was hoping he'd get to see her again- but it didn't work out this trip. Maybe next time!
Sunday we went to Kathy & Bruce's for a mother's day BBQ. Justin got to hang out with Ethan and Cole- and they ran and ran and ran in circles.
Monday we went to "My Little Adventures" which is an indoor park-like place because it was rainy. The boys played and jumped and climbed around. Then we headed over to Lori's Monday night to hang out and have dinner.
Tuesday Ethan came over to play. Justin kept hugging him. I'm not sure Ethan was thrilled by the 10th time- but he was a good sport about it. Dave and I went to dinner with our friends Josh and Christie on Tuesday night - and checked out our old neighborhood- which is quite happening these days.
Wednesday we headed back to the airport after breakfast with Aunt Kim and Aunt Lori and a quick stop by Mom-Mom's office (where Justin decided to play shy).
We were sitting on the plane waiting to take off and Justin was chatting and snacking and all of a sudden his eyes were closed! He slept half of the flight and then played around the rest of the way. I'm so glad he was good on both flights! He really was a good sport the whole trip as we had him off his schedule the whole time. He was having so much fun!

Can I bottle him up and keep him forever?
There have been a few moments this week when I have just wanted to stop time. Justin made up for a couple of whiny bad days with a couple of great days. Maybe daycare talking about "mommies" and how special mommies are all week changed his outlook - :) I had lots of hugs and love and LOTS of laughs.
I absolutely love it when Justin thinks he is hilarious and just laughs and laughs and laughs at himself - even though I have no idea what he's talking about that he finds so funny. His tub of stuffed animals has been particularly entertaining to him the last few days. I should capture it on video but I just can't tear myself away from him long enough to grab the camera when he's in the midst of his fun little episodes!
It makes these types of days not so bad:
His talking has been fun lately- he's saying more and more and sometimes he's speaking Mandarin. I had him say Chicken Nuggets for me a million times the other night and caught some of it on video:
Tonight we practiced Philadelphia- he needs a little work on that one yet!
