Weekend Update

Friday was Justin's holiday party at school. Dave snagged a few pictures- he didn't make it in to any because Justin wouldn't let me step two feet away from him. He's very protective of his mommy at daycare.

We went to the park today and I tried out my new camera (birthday present) and we took some photos and video around the house today. I've also read books about trucks 5 million times today- I must say..I'm really over the three books we are reading over and over and over!

Holiday Season!

We went and cut our tree down in the rain last weekend. Justin enjoyed helping decorate! We only broke two ornaments- and Justin was only responsible for one of those!

We had our annual holiday party yesterday - lots of friends and kiddos came by. Unfortunately we didn't get many photos but here are a few! We love seeing everyone!

Thanksgiving Trip to Philly

We just got back from our trip to Philly for Thanksgiving. We had fun visiting with everyone! Justin ended up with another ear infection at the start of the trip - so he had a couple of rough nights but then the antibiotic kicked in and he was sleeping like a champ again.

Lori picked us up from the airport Thursday morning and we were one tired bunch- Justin had a rough night before our flight and we had to leave the house at 4am. Sue made a great turkey dinner and we went to Aunt Kathy's for dessert.

Friday the Prinz/Leicester clan went on the annual Christmas tree hunt. It was fun to join them again! I think Lori has a big group picture I'll post after she uploads it!

Halaby Tree

Saturday afternoon Dave and I went in to Philly and wandered around a bit - it was SO nice out. We met Adam, Dube, Nicole, Reagan and some others that night and Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop watched Justin. Of course he snapped out of his ear infection funk for them and slept like a champ! YAY!

Sunday Christie and Josh brought their little boy (Maxwell) over and we hung out for a bit. I hadn't seen him since he was about a week old! He's a sweet boy!

We spent the rest of the time hanging out (and Mom-Mom and Mommy went to see the latest Twilight movie). Justin was awesome on the flight back - so thankful he's a good little flyer!

Iowa Trip

We went to Iowa a couple of weeks ago for a visit and for Tara and Josh's wedding (CONGRATS!). Justin had fun seeing everyone and hanging out on the farm- though we didn't get to spend quite as much time outside running around- it wasn't FREEZING but it was chilly!

Airplane

I'll post some pictures of our trip to Iowa when I get some! I didn't take any on my camera. In the meantime...enjoy Justin's favorite word - airplane. He hears them going over the house and starts looking for them.



He's been up since 4:30 this morning....so he's a little goofy. Before we left for Iowa I took him to the doc because he wasn't sleeping very well and I was having ear infection flashbacks...and sure enough the ear the tube had fallen out of was infected. I have a feeling we're going to end up getting that tube put back in. We go back Monday night to see if the antibiotic has worked - but I don't think it has cleared up yet.

Zzzzz

Justin fell asleep eating lunch today...it was a good hour before nap time. Guess all of his whining this morning wore him out - :)  Couldn't resist videoing his head bob.

This cracked me up..

Justin devoured every last piece of pasta he could tonight- he made his way through four servings. The video just cracked me up - he just kept trying to get every last possible bite!

Home for today..

Daycare wanted us to get a note from the doctor that Justin could return to daycare. Well - really nobody knows anything about how long things are contagious so the doctor gave me a note but it wasn't clear if Justin should be out of daycare or not! So I called daycare and they said he should be fine to come back tomorrow if he doesn't have new blisters or a fever.

The doc did see some sores on the back of his throat - but not a ton. There are some blisters on his hands and a couple of good ones on his feet. Hoping his symptoms stay mild and I'll take him back tomorrow.

In the meantime - he's trying to get me to read books and play and I'm trying to get a few things done for work. I brought in the water table for a distraction:





It's always something!

Hand foot and mouth disease is going around daycare...and of course Justin has blisters on his hands and feet..

Thankfully he doesn't seem too bothered by it at this point. I'm hoping he'll just have a minor case and not have it as bad as Ethan did this week!

The note from daycare says that kids can come back to daycare - as long as they are acting okay. So I'll take him in tomorrow and just take it day by day!
